USDT Deposits and the TRC20 Network: What to Confirm Before You Send
Updated

Three things to understand
- TRC20 was the network recorded for the deposit; the current account page decides what is supported.
- An exchange rate and a network charge are separate items.
- Never share a recovery phrase or private key with anyone.
USDT exists on several networks, and a deposit only works if the network, address and amount are right. This guide explains why TRC20 was named as the reference network and why you must confirm what your account currently supports, and how to read the full quote before you send anything.
Why does the network matter?
USDT is issued on more than one blockchain, and each network has its own address format and rules. Sending to an address on the wrong network can cause the funds to be lost or delayed.
The earlier description referred to TRC20. Whether that is still supported, and whether other networks are offered, must be confirmed on your account's deposit page.
How do you use the current account instructions?
Select the payment option available for your account, review the currency and the supported network, and read the displayed limits and charges. Addresses, QR codes and conversion quotes should come from the current page.
Do not copy an address from this guide, an earlier transaction or a message. Each deposit session may display its own details.
What is in a complete quote?
An exchange rate converts one currency into another. A network charge is what the blockchain takes to process the transfer. They are different items and can both reduce the final amount.
Check the amount you send, the amount expected to be credited, and any time limit on the quote before you decide. As an illustration with invented numbers, sending 100 units when 2 are deducted as a charge would credit 98.
What affects processing time?
Network confirmation, platform processing and any account checks can all take time. Cryptocurrency transfers should not be described as universally instant, anonymous or free.
Keep the transaction reference and use the official support channel for an incomplete or unclear payment.
How do you protect wallet security?
No deposit instruction requires you to share a recovery phrase or private key. Treat any request for them as an attempt to take your funds.
Screenshots in guides only show an earlier interface and may not match the current one.
What does a deposit method not do?
It does not provide yield, protection from price differences or any promise about returns. This guide does not recommend any deposit amount.
Compare other options, such as bank transfer, e-wallet or card, by their own limits and conditions as shown in your account.
A pre-send checklist
Before you send: confirm the network, copy the address from the current page, check the minimum amount, check the total deducted by your wallet, and send a small test amount if the platform allows.
After you send: keep the transaction ID, wait for the confirmations, and check the account balance before sending a second payment.

Questions worth asking
Is TRC20 the only network?
Not necessarily. Use the network or networks your account currently shows.
Can I send USDT from an exchange?
Often possible, but the exchange may add its own withdrawal fee, and the network must match.
What if I sent funds on the wrong network?
Contact the platform's support with the transaction reference immediately. Recovery is not guaranteed.
What should I do before a large first deposit?
Consider whether a smaller test transfer is possible, confirm that the network and address match, and make sure the amount sits within your entertainment budget.
Can support recover a payment sent to the wrong address?
Not reliably. Blockchain transfers are generally irreversible, so the safest approach is to verify every character of the address and the network before sending.
